“Todd Blanche” and “illegal” seem to be synonymous, as in “Lying to Congress when giving sworn testimony is supposed to be considered Todd Blanche.”

Thank you so much for this. I'm sure I hope that he doesn't get confirmed for all things for the country. It's criminal.

Seems to me this is another problem that could be solved by bipartisan cooperation. They did it with housing, finally, and this problem should be next. I sure hope!

If Blanche is confirmed, it will be the end of many programs that benefit We the People. This regime is built to support the Epstein class and the rest of us are ignored. The corruption is beyond belief.

The election of Trump and the Epstein Class to rule over us peasants was the end of many, and possibly soon to be all, federal govt programs meant to actually help people other than the Epstein Class. Republicans have always hated helping others. It's just all out in the open now that they have control of all three branches of govt with no intention of giving it up.

I hope the inquiry doesn't turn into a rubber stamp. Blanche has proven himself dishonest (a kinder word than liar) at baseline. That is where he operates from. Also. Blind fealty is not acceptable and he has shown only that. The bullshit lawsuit, the 1776 ridonkulous "slush fund". These alone should disqualify.

Blanche’s efficiency sounds like Musk/doge efficiency which we’ve all recognize as a overwhelming disastrous devastating failure.

Thank you Scott for highlighting these really dangerous actions by Todd Blanche only ensuring actual decreased public safety.

I hope another unqualified person is not confirmed.

excellent coverage as usual Scott! same old DOGE playbook, all in the name of "efficiencies" - DOJ is Trump's creature now. This consolidation could mean more control of local police to do Trump's bidding, and put these other services at risk of being severely reduced or gutted. With no explanation whatsoever - and there won't be one. Just fait accompli and accept it? Raskin and colleagues have asked such excellent questions - there should be a separate televised committee hearing on this if there is a non-response today.

The breadth of your reporting is such a great public service. This administration has dirty fingers in all of the many pies. Blink and we might miss it.

This administration does not like or respect women, so of course, they are smashing any funding for domestic violence. They will tell you they love Law Enforcement, but they are full of crap. They only like their private SS army. They are reshaping everything to benefit their rich cronies, the hell with us.

Thank you, Mr. MacFarlane.

Why is it that “streamlining” and “efficiency” always boil down to doing more with less?

Another step in their plan for total control of our country. They are replacing all law enforcement and the protection of the people with heavily armed murdering private army. They are implementing their plan to force women to be nothing more than barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. They keep breaking laws and rules and court orders. The democratic side keeps saying they can’t stop it because they have to follow the rules and laws. The states need to start getting arrest warrants for these criminals. The judges need to immediately hold them accountable for breaking laws and ignoring court orders. If the federal judges won’t do it then the states need to. No matter how illegal it is, they are going to be sure they control the outcome of elections.
