Even if the Democrats were to win a trifecta in 2028, every federal institution needs to be reformed and rebuilt.
This will take massive organizational planning by both non-partisan experts and young people with fresh ideas.
The work will need to be done quickly, and laws supporting the permanence of such reforms passed expeditiously.
Unless this is viewed as a 5-alarm fire, which our current governing gerentocracy is utterly unable or unwilling to address, I don't think this country will be governable.
Why I keep begging for “Someone” to get a head-start on Project 2028 by having it well underway for this November. All your suggestions are right-on but individuals/groups need to be identified AND working on this stuff right now! Thanks for your comments; they’re good!
And don't forget high profile cases like Comey. I mean who would not want to be on team prosecuting the most Respected FBI Director on both sides of the aisle. And for taking a funny picture on the beach of someone else's shell art. I mean with serious cases like this...{sarcasm mode off, because I think I am going to throw up}..But seriously what background checks, they hired Jeanine Pirro. There are zero standards. They will hire any ambulance chaser that walks in. Honestly the fact they are having trouble filling vacancies, gives me hope Attorneys in general.
Comey most respected? Certainly not by those who think he cost Hillary the election. I think Chris Wray who was appointed by Trump and kept on by Biden is more respected.

Yes and...a staffing crisis is unfolding at every federal agency since doge laid off hundreds of thousands and if Project 2025 continues to be enacted hundreds of thousands more will be fired. This us a HUGE story..the gutting of the federal workforce. Starve tge agency and whatever its mandate is can't be enforced. A back door way to shut down agencies and programs they don't like without doing it publicly.

Do you have jurisdiction? And if you know where you are, then do you know what ground you stand on - do you have standing? Person and place. Time is an inconceivable concept, Ill defined based on a person or persons lives. Are you in the right place and will someone take care of you? I bet no one feels like this is true right now. So sad. Katie Fang has reported that the DOJ is now actively recruiting directly from law schools, a stark indicator of the vacuum left behind.
When viewed alongside the deterioration we are witnessing across other federal departments, and our country's declining standing on the global stage, the pattern becomes impossible to ignore. This is not an isolated incident — it is a systemic unraveling, and the consequences for the rule of law deserve urgent national attention.
Since tRUMPS second term, he has systematically ripped the J off of DOJ and made it the DO for me department. He had his hand picked unqualified lawyer put in charge over HIGHLY respected and qualified lawyers. She then fired any investigation branch that could harm him fired. The ones that remain, trying to actually uphold justice, are so overburdened they can’t do their job to the best of their abilities. And now Todd Blanche, his own personal attorney at the helm, who is filing idiotic charges at his request. Our supreme court is now in question with allegations against Clarence Thomas and Chief Justice Roberts. It is going to take some time to get the J back, but I know where we can start. Our votes are never more important than now. I don’t know if they will have enough seats to impeach, but they will have enough to reign in his power. My true hope is that more republicans, like MTG, will turn away from the crazy and he will be impeached. Yes we will have Vance, but if he returns to the beliefs he used to speak about, and wasn’t lying…it might get better. It can only get worse if tRUMP remains in power.
This is the plan as outlined in the Project 2025 playbook. Get rid of a large percentage of the federal workforce and then backfill all those positions with MAGA friendly, Christian Nationaists that will do Russell Vought's and Stephen Miller's bidding. Trump is just along for the ride because he can punish "his enemies" in the process.
We need to see more of these “invisible” stories. There is so much about the inner workings of our government that we are unaware and thanks to you we know DOJ positions were coveted. Perhaps an updated version of this is needed in the public school system too. The more we understand the more powerful we become. I wonder if federal employees were disappointed that the public outcry over mass firings wasnt strong enough.
